Posted on 24th Aug 2010 19:29 to category Instruments News
Gibson Les Paul guitar fans can check out a programme dedicated to their favourite brand of axe later this month.
CNN International will be showing Icon from August 26th 2010 at regular intervals for the following week.
The programme will examine various musicians' reasons for selecting a Gibson Les Paul guitar, with some top names lined up to appear.
Sir Paul McCartney - arguably the most famous guitarist to choose Gibson Les Paul guitars - will be speaking with presenter Monita Rajpal to explain why the model is so special to him.
Joining the former Beatle on the show will be Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Billy Gibbons and Romero Britto, among other famous names from the world of music.
Earlier this month, Gibson announced that it is to reissue the special edition 1974 Les Paul, which was made famous by being used by Randy Rhoads.
"The guitar that drove 'Crazy Train' off the rails will soon be available in stores," commented the electric guitar manufacturer.
