Gibson Guitar iPhone app passes 1.75m downloads
The Gibson Guitar app for the iPhone has now been downloaded by more than 1.75 million people across the world.
Its success has led to the tool being nominated as a finalist in the inaugural Billboard Music App Awards, which will take place on October 5th 2010 in San Francisco.
Gibson Guitar is up for a prize in the category of Best Branded Music App.
The software has been designed to suit all levels of guitar players, from beginners to expert musicians.
The Gibson Guitar app was launched in February this year as a free-to-download tool, with video tuition included in the package.
A company statement at the time said: "The app will be updated frequently with new video content so users of all guitar ability can improve their technique from the comfort of their home."
