Gibson Guitar app downloaded by more than 2 million people
The Gibson Guitar iPhone app has passed a significant landmark, with more than two million people now having downloaded it following its release earlier this year.
It has maintained its position as one of the most popular free apps on the Apple iTunes store by reaching the milestone, reports the Gibson Lifestyle blog.
Last month, the tool was presented with a prize for the Best Branded Music App at an awards ceremony run by Billboard.
Plans to make the Gibson Guitar application available to users of Android and Intel technology have also recently been announced, with the rollout of the download expected in the near future.
Gibson has described the app as a "must-have" for guitarists thanks to the range of useful tools it provides them with.
These include a tuner, metronome, exclusive guitar lesson and more than 30 chord charts which come with easy-to-read finger positions to make it easier to master each one.
