Gibson ES-335 presented to Rob Blaine at International Blues Challenge
The star, who fronts the band Rob Blaine's Big Otis Blues, won the Albert King Award for Best Guitarist after he performed at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis earlier this month.
Blaine took the accolade after giving a memorable rendition of Luther Allison's Cherry Red Wine.
The event, which listed electric guitar manufacturer Gibson among its sponsors, saw more than 220 acts perform in a celebration of the blues genre.
A number of categories were judged in a finals show held at the Orpheum Theatre, with the Lionel Young Band taking the top prize in the group competition.
Meanwhile, the solo/duo award went to George Schroeter and Marc Brietfelder of Germany.
This year marked the 27th time the International Blues Challenge has been held, with an increased number of artists participating in comparison to 2010, when 110 bands and 80 solo and duo acts took part.
Zac Harmon, who has previously triumphed at the festival, said: "Winning the International Blues Challenge is better than having a $100,000 (£62,000) publicity budget."
