Gibson ES-335 'is a very versatile guitar'
The Gibson ES-335 is versatile enough to suit several different genres of music, it has been explained.
Musician Larry Carlton, who has won three Grammys and worked with the likes of Sammy Davis Jr, Michael Jackson and Joni Mitchell in the course of his career, told the Gibson website that he first opted for an ES-335 when he realised he just wanted one instrument, instead of carrying around several different guitars.
"The 335 was the one that was most versatile," he explained.
Carlton stated that he could depend on the Gibson ES-335 for the majority of the time he was in the studio.
Another famous guitar player who uses the musical instrument is Keith Richards, who played an ES-335 on the Exile on Main Street album and continues to use it at Rolling Stones gigs today.Posted on 8 Jun 2010 13:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
