Gibson ES-335 guitar 'used by some of the world's finest players'

The Gibson ES-335 guitar has been used by some of the world's most famous musicians since it was first introduced to the world in 1958, it has been explained.
Writing on the Gibson Lifestyle blog, columnist Russell Hall took a look back at the careers of some of the legendary names who have used the instrument in the past.
He said that the likes of Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry and T-Bone Walker had all used a Gibson ES-335 guitar during their careers.
Mr Hall noted that new musicians are still turning to the instrument, including Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother and Jason Wade of Lifehouse.
Last month, Peter Banks from Yes said that he had been inspired to pick up a Gibson ES-335 after being given advice by producer Kevin Lawrence.
"He kept telling me how great that guitar sounded, so I picked one up," he said.
"After that, I never considered using any guitar other than the 335."
