German breaks record with guitar
Posted on 28 Sep 2010 15:13 to category : Instruments News

An eight-date tour would typically cover at least a week for most bands, but a German and his guitar have done it in 24 hours.
Not only that, but he managed to play the concerts in eight different countries.
Speaking to Reuters, Vicente Patiz said he is tired but proud after playing the concerts in Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria.
He pulled the stunt to promote his new CD, according to the newswire, which noted that his efforts beat the previous world record - six concerts in six countries over the course of a day.
Patiz was quoted as saying: "The concerts weren't all held at sociable times.
"It was a bit difficult to get the Swiss to come to a concert first thing on Sunday morning."
Elsewhere, a US student at Wilkes University has made his claim to fame by trying to get the world record for continuously playing the video game Guitar Hero.
He managed to keep going for 25 hours, two minutes and 18 seconds, according to Citizen's Voice.
