Gear4music.com Launch Major Site Upgrade
Posted on 18 Jun 2010 15:09 to category : Music News

Gear4music.com, a fast growing online retailer of musical instruments based in York, has launched a major upgrade to its website that it hopes will grow its 200,000 strong customer base even further.
The company sells guitars, drum kits and other musical products to musicians across the UK and Europe, receiving 5 million unique website visitors that viewed a total of 23 million pages over the last year.
The website upgrade reflects the growing trend for shopping sites to provide more than just a straightforward 'buy it and give us your money' experience.
The site has been designed to engage with customers by allowing them to learn much more about the brands and products they are interested in.
The goal for Gear4music is to provide their users with a full 360 degree experience, and a level of knowledge about the products they're buying not found on any other music website.
Gear4music.com hopes the site will become just as much of a 'resource for musicians' as it is an online shopping destination, leading to customers being more informed about the options available to them.
One of the most prominent features of the new site is be the tight integration of real content into the menu system.
Users get the latest news from the music industry covering artists and products tailored to the area of interest they are researching, plus articles and press releases about the brand or product group featured.
