Gaga crashes website
Lady Gaga's pop appeal was as evident as ever as the musician crashed a popular micro-blogging website after signing up to an account.
The piano-playing superstar has signed up to Tumblr under the title of Amenfasion.
She has so far posted six entries in a typically eccentric style and they have each had over five thousand "notes", which is Tumblr's version of hits and likes.
For a while fans were unable to access the page and even when they did it took longer than normal to load up even with fast broadband speeds.
Gaga is an online social networking phenomenon, the first true musician of the digital interactive age.
She is currently the most followed person on Twitter with over 11 million followers and is the only living person to have 30 million likes on the everyday staple that is Facebook.
Even more amazing, the fashion star was the first celebrity to secure more than a billion hits on the video-sharing website YouTube.
Gaga has fought back against claims that she made money out of charity bracelets that was meant to benefit a Japanese relief fund.
Her spokesman said the lawsuit against her was "without merit" and misguided.
