Full Glastonbury line-up revealed
The full line-up for Glastonbury has been announced and Morrissey will be making his return to the festival.
Formerly a member of The Smiths, he will act as the final warm-up before electric guitar band U2 take to the stage on Friday June 24th.
Also on the bill are Manchester-based rockers Elbow, who recently released the studio album Build a Rocket Boys!, the follow-up to the highly-successful The Seldom Seen Kid.
Festival organiser Emily Eavis, speaking to the Guardian, said she was delighted to be able to assemble such a stellar line-up for the event.
"To get all of these incredible artists is really quite a feat," she said. "I think this is one of most eclectic line-ups yet."
A host of big names have already been announced for the Somerset-based celebration of music, with Beyonce, Queens of the Stone Age, Primal Scream, Coldplay and Fleet Foxes all set to perform.
Michael Eavis, who is the founder of the festival, stated he is delighted to have got Morrissey to agree to appear.
"When the Smiths played in 1984 it changed everything for us," he added and he thinks they line-up will ensure that is the best Glastonbury ever.
