Freshman AC60R Master Acoustic Combo Amp Praised
Freshman AC60R Master Acoustic Combo Amp scored an impressive 84% this month in the monthly guitar and bass magazine.
Top of the range 60W combo offers nearly identical facilities and speaker array to Marshalls well established AS50D though it's very differently packaged.
"The AC60R is a twin-channel amp ch2 controls the microphone section and it offers appealing effects and useful connectivity".
Features 60 watts, twin channel (separate EQ on both), separate chorus and reverb controls, effects send & return, Inputs: quarter inch jacl / XLR / phono.
"The amp's welly comfortably comes up to 60W expectations and the sound is pretty natural and unforced, with a sensible range of bass, treble adjustment and decent quality from the reverb and suitably swirlsome chorus".
Overall "The AC60R is a strong debut for Freshman. It's up against some keen competition not least from Marshall but by the looks and sound of it, it's more than capable of holding its own as an affordable, giggable amp".
