Fresh "Portrait" from BBC
Jonathan Dove is going to take in ideas of well known people and then pick one to write about using crotchets and minims for people to play on music instruments.
The revelation of who the subject will be is set to happen as part of a forthcoming Radio 3 occasion.
A host of figures not always normally associated with music have had "portraits" made of them in the medium over the years, according to the BBC.
And these portraits will be marked by the music radio station next month, it has said.
Part of the radio event will be beamed across the airwaves from the famous National Portrait Gallery in London.
The likes of Alistair McGowan, Louise Welsh (the woman behind such novels as The Cutting Room and The Bullet Trick) and Maggie Hambling are set to pop up on the station during the May 7th event.
"The on-air celebration centres on the composer's unique ability to convey people through music. It will be a real Bank Holiday treat for our audience," said Radio 3's controller Roger Wright.
