Posted on 18 May 2010 15:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Famous bass guitar stars Mani and Andy Rourke are to play in the UK for the first tour with their new band.
Rourke of The Smiths and Mani of Primal Scream are part of the quartet Freebass, which has released details of the tour to NME.
They will begin in York at the end of May and perform gigs in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Carlisle and Middlesbrough.
Freebass' other members are Peter Hook of New Order and Joy Division and Gary Briggs, known for being part of Haven.
They got their name from the fact that three of the four, including Hook, are bass guitar players.
The band have just released their first album, called It's a Beautiful Life.
In 2007, NME reported that the band had been working with a number of famous singers, including Ian Brown and Tim Burgess.
Hook told the magazine: "It's nice that Mani and I can call in a few favours."
