Propellerhead have announced the launch of Reason 8, and are offering a free upgrade to the new version when you purchase Reason 7.

How to get your free upgrade

Reason 7 includes free upgrade to Reason 8

Reason Essentials 2 includes free upgrade to Reason Essentials 8

Reason 7 upgrade from versions 1 to 6 also includes a free upgrade to Reason 8

Reason 8 features workflow improvements, a redesigned interface and new guitar amp models, as well as:

  • The new browser will make it easier to find sounds and instruments for your music.
  • You can drag and drop everything, everywhere. Drag patches to instruments, instruments to the sequencer and audio to the track list.
  • New, updated look and feel - work faster and more streamlined than ever.
  • New amplifier and speaker models from Softube to record your guitar and bass tracks with.
  • The full version of Reason 8 will be available as a free download to everyone purchasing Reason 7 on or after 1st July. All you have to do is register your software and you will receive an email when the new version is ready for download.

    If you own Reason Essentials, Reason Limited or Reason Adapted, simply upgrade to the full version of Reason 7 after 1st July and you can download your free copy of Reason 8, too.

    If you're a Reason 6 user, simply upgrade to and register the full version of Reason 7 and you'll be entitled to your free download of the full version of Reason 8.
