Freddie Mercury memorial to be unveiled
Posted on 11 Oct 2009 10:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Queen's electric guitar player Brian May is expected to attend the unveiling of a tribute to his late bandmate Freddie Mercury.
The legendary vocalist, who died of an Aids-related illness in November 1991, moved from Zanzibar to Feltham in Middlesex in 1964.
Authorities in Feltham have now confirmed that they will honour the town's famous former resident with a Hollywood-style star.
A special ceremony will take place on the anniversary of Freddie's death, which is to be attended by friends, relatives and some of his former bandmates.
Speaking to the Richmond and Twickenham Times, Councillor Paul Jabbal commented: "As well as celebrating his life and success, it can serve as a reminder to local people that it doesn't matter where you come from, if you work hard you can succeed in whatever you do."
Brian May and Queen drummer Roger Taylor are currently gearing up for the imminent release of a new greatest hits compilation, which will include classics such as Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions and Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
