Franz Ferdinand play acoustic guitars at surprise gig
Posted on 19 Oct 2009 16:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand brandished acoustic guitars at a surprise performance in Manchester this weekend.
The Ruby Lounge venue was staging its regular Saturday afternoon music session when the hit band made an unannounced appearance.
Frontman Alex Kapranos described it as a great experience and said there was a fantastic atmosphere at the gig.
Speaking to NME, he commented: "It reminded me of a matinee gig we did a few years ago at Barrowlands in Glasgow where adults were only allowed in if they were accompanied by a child."
Just 150 people got to see the band perform renditions of songs such as Take Me Out and Ulysses on acoustic guitars.
Kapranos and Nick McCarthy also performed Do You Want To, No You Girls, The Dark Of The Matinee and Walk Away.
The band are currently touring the UK, with a gig in Wolverhampton tonight being followed by appearances in Leeds, Bournemouth and Brixton.
