Acoustic guitar player Frank Turner has revealed he is getting started on his next album.

The singer-songwriter made the announcement via his Facebook fan page, informing his 64,000 followers on the social networking site that he is heading into the studio today (January 10th 2011) to get going on his fourth album.

Turner has recently completed a sold-out tour of the UK supported by Ed Harcourt and Dive Dive.

He played shows in Aberdeen, Preston and Sheffield over the course of December, completing the run of gigs with a performance at Brixton Academy in London.

The hardworking acoustic guitar player has already announced the details of his first shows of 2011, with the musician set to visit Aberdeen and London again, as well as playing York and Exeter during February.

In a recent blog post on his official website, Turner said 2010 had been an "ace" year and he was looking forward to getting into the studio and starting work on his next LP with the help of his backing band.

"I'm excited and confident, it really feels like things are coming together and the time is right," he stated.
