Foo Fighters reveal new album title
Electric guitar band Foo Fighters have revealed their new album is to be called Wasting Light.
The record, which will be their seventh full-length studio release, is to come out on April 12th, with the opening single Rope due to make it into shops on March 1st.
Wasting Light was produced by Butch Vig and recorded entirely in the garage of lead singer Dave Grohl's San Fernando Valley home.
It features a cameo appearance from Grohl's former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic, with the bass guitar player performing on the track I Should Have Known.
To coincide with the release of the hotly-anticipated new album, a documentary chronicling the history of the Foo Fighters is in the production stage, with it set to focus on Grohl's journey as the man behind the drum kit in Nirvana to the frontman of the highly-successful band.
Foo Fighters are set to perform at Wembley Arena later this month, appearing at the venue as the headline act for the NME Awards Big Gig.
The show, which is taking place on February 25th, will include sets from support acts such as No Age, Band of Horses and Cee Lo Green.
