Foo Fighters guitarist to bring out Americana-inspired record
Foo Fighters guitar player Chris Shiflett is the latest member of the band to participate in a side project.
Lead singer Dave Grohl has recently been involved with Them Crooked Vultures, while Taylor Hawkins - the man behind the drum kit in the group - has been on tour with his other group The Coattail Riders.
Shiflett's new band are called The Dead Peasants and will release their self-titled debut album on July 12th 2010.
The guitar player told NME that the record has been influenced by acts such as Wilco and Ryan Adams, as part of his love for country, rockabilly and Americana music.
"It is so far from anything I've been part of with Foo Fighters and it was just really fun to do," he said of the making of the record.
Earlier this year, Dave Grohl told BBC 6 Music that Foo Fighters are planning to return to the studio in September in order to make their next album.Posted on 16 Jun 2010 16:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
