Foo Fighters and My Chemical Romance set for Radio 1's Big Weekend
The headline acts for Radio 1's Big Weekend have been announced, with electric guitar bands Foo Fighters and My Chemical Romance included on the bill.
It is taking place in Carlisle over the weekend of May 14th and 15th, with the Foos booked to be the final artists on stage on the opening day.
Other performers on the Saturday include Jessie J, the Black Eyed Peas, Tinie Tempah, Plan B and Ellie Goulding.
The eclectic flavour of the bash continues on the Sunday, when My Chemical Romance will be second headliners behind Lady Gaga.
Throughout the rest of the day, sets will be performed by Bruno Mars, Taio Cruz, Professor Green, Olly Murs and The Wombats.
Radio 1 will announce further details of who will be playing on the event's other three stages over the rest of this week.
Tickets for both days of the festival are free, with a ballot taking place to decide who will get a pass.
The registration process opens tomorrow, with 10,000 pairs available for both the 14th and the 15th.
Last year, nearly 500,000 people applied for entry when the event was held in Bangor.
