Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 praised in review

Focusrite have added the Saffire Pro 24 to their range of audio interfaces – it has been reviewed in this month’s Sound On Sound.
As with all interfaces in the Saffire range, the Saffire Pro 24 comes with the Focusrite Plug-in Suite, providing Focusrite EQ, Compression, Amp Simulation and Reverb.
With only 2 mic-preamps available (as combination jack/XLR sockets on the front of the unit), customers wishing to use more inputs simultaneously (such as those recording live drums), will be pleased to know that the input number can be expanded via ADAT and S/PDIF with other Focusrite units such as the Octopre LE.
Sound On Sound’s reviewer noted that features such as this possible expansion, and the presence of sufficient outputs for surround sound make this a unit hard to beat in this price range.
