Posted on 24 Feb 2010 13:44 to category : Music News

Electric guitar player Yannis Philippakis has revealed details of Foals' forthcoming second album.
Writing on the band's MySpace page, Philippakis confirmed that the record, which is to be entitled Total Life Forever, is to be released on May 10th 2010.
The electric guitar player and lead singer also revealed that the band will be embarking on a short European tour in April, with gigs set to take place in Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris.
"It's good to be back," he said, adding that fans of the band could look forward to lots more news about their activities in the near future.
Philippakis has previously explained to the BBC how the band have a different take on music to the rest of their peers.
He said Foals use guitar effects pedals to "mimic the sound of the solar system" and added that the group aim to play the electric guitar in a "different way from pretty much any other mainstream indie band."
