Florence Welch to pick up the guitar for next record
Posted on 22 Mar 2010 18:00 to category : Instruments News

Florence Welch has revealed that she will be playing the guitar on Florence and the Machine's second album.
Welch told NME that she wrote some of the group's earliest songs, including first single Kiss With A Fist, on the guitar and she is enjoying using the instrument once again.
"The guitar is coming back - I've gone full circle," she said.
But Welch promised fans they would be in for a surprise when they hear some of the new songs.
"It's not a Kiss With A Fist type of guitar sound though it's much stranger than that," the singer explained.
She added that she was enjoying the creative process of coming up with new material.
Earlier this month, Florence and the Machine were named as one of the headline acts for this year's Latitude Festival.
The other two bands at the top of the bill at the event are Belle and Sebastian and Vampire Weekend.
