First acts announced for 2013 T In The Park
Alt-J, Paloma Faith, Jake Bugg and Of Monsters and Men will also be on the bill as the Scottish festival celebrates its 20th anniversary next year after they were confirmed in an announcement from the organisers.
The event is due to take place at Balado, near Kinross from July 12th to 14th and represents one of the biggest festivals on the music calendar.
Fans will be able to get their hands on tickets when they go on sale at 9am on Friday (December 7th) but early bird tickets have already sold out.
Geoff Ellis, festival director, explained that The Killers were selected following a fan poll of bands the audience would most like to see top the bill at Scotland's biggest festival in the coming year.
"We have always worked incredibly hard to bring our T In The Park fans the best line-up possible, and this year is no exception. We are unbelievably excited that Rihanna and Mumford and Sons will be taking to the Main Stage in Kinross as we are sure our audience will be," Mr Ellis added.
