Fender welcomes award for AmpliTube Fender software suite
Posted on 11 Jan 2010 18:00 to category : Instruments News

A software suite that allows electric guitar players to imitate the sound of more than 40 guitar amps has been given the thumbs-up.
Electronic Musician magazine hailed the AmpliTube Fender product, which can offer both guitar and bass tones on a computer, for its realism and authenticity.
The publication has therefore handed the software suite its 2010 Editors' Choice Award for Virtual Amps/ Effects.
Fender has welcomed the news by highlighting it on its website, along with some favourable comments from magazine reviewer Michael Cooper.
"I really felt like I was blowing out of a real Fender tube amp with vintage spring reverb," he commented.
The AmpliTube Fender software suite has been manufactured by IK Multimedia in collaboration with Fender itself.
This allows it to emulate both classic and modern guitar amps, such as the '57 Deluxe, '59 Bassman LTD and '65 Twin Reverb.
As a result, musicians can enjoy playing in a variety of styles, including punk, metal, country and blues.
