Fender Stratocaster 'has had a profound impact on music'
The Fender Stratocaster has become iconic partly because of its close association with many of its famous users.
Stratocasters in particular were said to have become seared into the public perception of many stars, including Eric Clapton of Cream, Buddy Holly, Jeff Beck and Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour.
Wired.com stated that this demonstrates the "profound impact" that the electric guitar has had, as it has become synonymous with the music it has been used to create.
"It is one of the great hallmarks of modern art."
Wired.com added that the instrument's "iconic curves" have become a key part of the image of every popular musician that has chosen to use a Fender electric guitar on stage and on record.Posted on 10 Aug 2009 15:30 to category : Instruments News
