Fans given chance to name Chad Kroeger's custom Les Paul

Fans of Nickelback have the chance to come up with the name for Chad Kroeger's new custom-made Les Paul guitar.
The singer has been working with Gibson to come up with his perfect musical instrument and the star made specific requests about its look, pickups, neck and body.
However, Kroeger's name choice of Dirty Oil became inappropriate following the BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico and has led to the competition.
Fans have the chance to submit their name suggestions for the special Les Paul guitar to the People's Choice Awards website, with the winner receiving the instrument, as well as tickets to a private concert in Las Vegas on October 30th 2010.
There is an August 16th deadline for making entries into the competition.
This October, a series of guitars signed by Les Paul himself are to be auctioned off in London, reported the Independent earlier this week.
