Famous Hendrix Stratocaster played on TV show
Blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd employed the instrument during a performance with The Roots on the programme, reports the official Fender blog FrontRow.
He was loaned the Fender Stratocaster by the Experience Music Project in Seattle, where it is usually displayed.
"It's pretty amazing. It's one of the most legendary guitars in rock history," Shepherd told host Jimmy Fallon.
The blues guitarist is currently participating in the Experience Hendrix tour, which is moving around the US at the moment.
He performed in Baltimore last night (November 11th), with shows planned for the rest of the month in cities such as Columbus, Cincinnati and Detroit.
In a Guitar World list of the best blues guitarists, Shepherd was named in third position, finishing behind the legendary BB King and Eric Clapton.
