Singer Engelbert Humperdinck has said that he is 'very proud' of 'Love Will Set You Free.'

He is set to recite the number at the Eurovision Song Contest, the BBC has said.

As well as featuring Humperdinck, the track will also have a guitar part, it has been confirmed.

The guitar player who will be providing some of the music during the Contest performance will be James Bryan, say the BBC.

He has worked with singer Nelly Furtado (the woman behind songs such as I'm Like a Bird, Powerless and Try) in the past, they add.

"I'm very proud of the song and with the nation behind me, I feel ready and look forward to the rollercoaster ride that is Eurovision!" said Engelbert Humperdinck.

"It is a soaring ballad that has been crafted by some of the best people in music," said the BBC's Derek McLean. "With credentials like these, and our very own music legend on vocals, this year our Eurovision entry is second to none,"

"Engelbert will perform ‘Love Will Set You Free' to a worldwide audience of millions at the Eurovision Song Contest," he also said.

The visual aspects of the act will be arranged by choreographer Arlene Phillips.

The contest's final takes place on May 26th.
