Epiphone amps 'prominent during British invasion'
Posted on 22 Jun 2009 11:43 to category : Instruments News
Electric guitar manufacturer Gibson has commended the importance of Epiphone amplifiers to British pop music.

Gibson highlighted The Byrds' version of Bob Dylan's Mr Tambourine Man - which features a distinctive electric guitar intro from Roger McGuinn - as one example of this trend.
"In this time period, a variety of Epiphone amps graced the albums of countless artists and bands," it commented.
Meanwhile, McGuinn is set to bring his famous Rickenbacker electric guitar to the West Country, as he is appearing at the Glastonbury Festival this weekend.
The date is part of an extensive international tour, and fans can be sure to hear him playing established Byrds classics such as Eight Miles High and Turn Turn Turn.
