Epiphone Dot ES-335 named best budget electric guitar

The Epiphone Dot ES-335 has attracted the most votes in a poll to find the best low-cost electric guitar.
Squier Telecasters and Yamaha Pacificas were among the most popular instruments, while Ibanez guitars and Squier Stratocasters also received lots of votes.
However, the Dot ES-335 came on top, attracting more than a third of the total number of votes.
Commenting on the instrument, MusicRadar said: "Versatile, great-looking and more than usable for any level of guitarist, it's the best electric guitar under £300."
The website added that the proportion of votes the Dot ES-335 received - 34 per cent - was "staggering".
Electric guitar players might enjoy this model because it is a more affordable version of the Gibson ES-335 - the instrument favoured by artists including BB King and Chuck Berry.
