Eminem requests expensive fish and pond for backstage luxuries

Hit rapper Eminem has revealed a new aquatic hobby with his latest backstage requests.

Music superstars are known for their weird, wacky and exuberant requests for their gargantuan riders (bus) and dressing rooms, but Eminem has certainly stepped up to a new level with his curious requests.

The hip hop rapper asked for koi carp, an expensive and "decorative" fish, to be added to his rider before he went onstage at the Tennent's Vita Festival in Northern Ireland.

With another odd request for a wooden pond to be constructed backstage and then filled with a variety of equally expensive fish and other aquatic creatures, Eminem has certainly revealed a curious new hobby.

Beyond the aquatic theme, there was a request for a microwave, a seedless watermelon and yogurt.

Recently it was announced that the superstar's new movie project Southpaw was dropped by Dreamworks.

It would have marked his return to the movies, nearly ten years on from his debut in the critically-acclaimed, semi-autobiographical 8 Mile.

With a director like Antoine Fuqua set to work his magic over the film – he shot Training Day and Brooklyn's Finest – producers are now casting their net wide in a bid to secure studio support for the movie.
