Elvis' acoustic guitar to be auctioned
Posted on 23 Sep 2009 11:26 to category : Instruments News

The instrument was used by the King during his final gig at the Las Vegas Hilton in 1976 - just eight months before his untimely death.
Auction house Profiles in History believes the acoustic guitar is one of the most significant pieces of rock 'n' roll memorabilia to go on the market.
Presley, who made his name in the late 1950s with hits such as That's All Right (Mama), Hound Dog and Blue Suede Shoes, died in August 1977 at the age of 42.
The acoustic guitar will go on sale alongside other items from the world of music, including some outfits worn by late singer Michael Jackson and the rest of the Jackson 5.
Film memorabilia such as props from the Indiana Jones and Star Wars movies will also be up for grabs.
