Elektron Show Off 'The Trinity' at Sonar 2010
Swedish electronic instruments manufacturer, Elektron, have released live footage of their highly-anticipated Octatrack Sampler.
During an improvised gig, live at this year's Sonar festival in Barcelona, members of the Elektron team showed how all three instruments work together.
The footage shows the Octatrack used alongside the Monomachine and Machinedrum ? a setup that Elektron are calling 'The Trinity'.
The two-part video demonstrates the immense capabilities of the Octatrack as it sequences time-stretched loop and samples.
The Monomachine and Machinedrum provide the melody and percussion via MIDI clock sync.
All the footage is shot in real-time and no external effects processing or mixers were used.
The Octatrack was first announced at Musikmesse 2010 and is due to be available in stores in Q4 of 2010.Posted on 1 Jul 2010 10:26 to category : Instruments News
