Electric guitar band Foo Fighters to wow fans in London
Electric guitar band Foo Fighters have been added to the bill at this year's iTunes Festival in London, it has been revealed.
The American rock and roll five-piece - who are fronted by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl - will headline the event on July 11th at the Roadhouse venue in the capital city.
Foo Fighters - who comprise of Grohl on lead vocals and guitar, Taylor Hawkins on drums, Chris Shiflett on lead guitar, Nate Mendel on bass and Pat Smear on guitar - join the likes of Beady Eye, Glasvegas and White Lies as headliners at the event, which takes place throughout July.
The group achieved their third number one album in the UK yesterday when their seventh studio record Wasting Light followed on from 2007's Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace and 2002's One by One by hitting top spot.
Of their appearance at the iTunes Festival, which is now in its fifth year, Grohl commented that the band are looking forward to performing at the "legendary Roadhouse".
"The fact that it's going to be broadcast to so many people is really exciting, because making music is more about the audience than the band sometimes," he added.
