Elbow star uses Yamaha drum kit to record new album
Jupp explained that he has been using a variety of Yamaha drum kits for the past decade as the group have steadily rose to fame.
He told the Yamaha Download site that for Elbow's latest record Build A Rocket, Boys!, he made played a PHX kit.
The star explained he had chosen the drums partly because of their rich, warm tone.
He added: "The drums practically tuned themselves and held there notes extremely well. I have to say if it feels right and the drums are singing that's all that matters."
The group's new album is due to be released on March 7th, with the band following it up with a UK tour.
Elbow are set to play a number of arena dates across Britain and Ireland, starting out in Glasgow on March 15th.
They will go on to visit venues in cities including Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Cardiff, Manchester and London, wrapping up the run of gigs with a show in Dublin on March 31st.
