Edwyn Collins enlists indie stars to write new album
Former Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins has enlisted the help of several celebrated indie stars to help write his new album.
Legendary electric guitar player Johnny Marr and his bandmate from The Cribs Ryan Jarman have participated in the record, along with Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy.
Romeo Stodhart from The Magic Numbers and all of The Drums have also contributed to the LP, which is to be entitled Losing Sleep.
It has been produced by Collins and his long-time collaborator Sebastian Lewsley.
The album, which contains 12 songs, is to be released on September 13th 2010, with the title track from the record to come out in August.
Collins is also to perform a live show in support of Losing Sleep on September 23rd at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.
