EarthQuaker Devices Unleash Brand New Fuzz Erupter Pedal

Earthquaker Devices' Eruptor

Earthquaker Devices have once again emerged to blow the tops off of the competition with their brand new Erupter fuzz pedal. Similar to their Acapulco Gold Pedal, the Erupter Pedal features a single bias knob that until turned past 12 o' clock enhances the harmonic tonality of the fuzz; anything beyond simply acting as a volume boost. The pedal utilises a fixed master output level and gain setting so that you can pump your fuzz and then crank it in a suitably enthusiastic manner.

Despite its relatively simple layout, the tonal possibilities presented by the Erupter pedal are impressive to say the very least. From a compressed gated tone to all out fuzz-laden pandemonium, the Erupter pedal can cater to a wealth of different musical styles; most notably the crushing and riff-heavy type. As the pedal's bias control is increased you are greeted with a tighter response, deeper sustain and a considerably more dense output. The lower the knob is turned, the more of a saggy and burgeoning tone the effect encourages. The pedal's simple knob dynamic effectively bias' the pedals NOS silicon transistors in order to encourage an iconic and comprehensive sound that transfers across a variety of soundscapes.

A by-product of two years intensive research and tone development, the Erupter pedal is the quintessential embodiment of classic fuzz. With a heavy low end and a crisp, raw high end you can expect a simultaneously balanced yet off the wall temperament. Able to applied to almost any pick-up type, the Erupter affords decidedly magnificent results irregardless of its position in your signal chain.
