E-Street Band to debate future
Steve Van Zandt, who plays the electric guitar, told Pollstar that without Clemons, the band was not the same.
He went to say that as far back as 2008, when their keyboard player Danny Federichi passed away, things hadn't felt quite right.
Zandt, who is also famous for playing Silvio Dante in the hit American TV show The Sopranos, said that Clemons' distinct sound on the saxophone was fundamentally irreplaceable.
"That's a void we will never replace," he said.
However, Zandt also reassured fan's of the band, which was formed by Bruce Springsteen, that the show must go on and they would probably continue as a unit "until the end".
He said: "That's what we do."
Clemons passed away at the age of 69 after suffering from a stroke in June.
Writing on his website at the time, Springsteen said: "Clarence lived a wonderful life. He carried within him a love of people that made them love him."
