Dust off music instruments for music marathon
Musicians old and young are being asked to wipe off the dust from their music instruments and join a monthly "music marathon" in the Lake District.
Created by local musician Eyemoeba, the "musical feast of sound" occurs at The Ship Inn, in Bowness, the first Friday of every month, reported the Westmorland Gazette.
Eyemoeba is looking for new ways of getting musicians in the community together, jamming, listening, talking and performing in front of one another.
Speaking to the newspaper, he said that the event had so far been a success but because of the lack of music instruments "it felt very much like a sound check".
He said: "What I am hoping is that eventually we will have a room full of musicians all playing together, so whatever you play we want to see you."
The next session will be held on June 3rd 2011.
