Duff McKagan using Gibson instruments
The former Guns N Roses bass player – who now plays bass for rockers Velvet Revolver and is rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist in Loaded – admitted his collection of instruments, including electric and acoustic guitars, are some of his most prized possessions.
He told Gibson.com: "I have some great Gibsons. I have a '59 tobacco burst that I just keep in storage. Y'know, you can't take that thing out and play it because it's worth so much damn money these days."
The 47-year-old rocker also explained one of the most "beautiful" guitars he owns is an old '58 Junior, but again, he avoids playing it because the instrument is now worth so much money.
He explained that he made use of a newer Gibson SG when recording The Taking - the latest record he has created with Loaded that the website claimed is even heavier than its predecessor.
Meanwhile, on his official website, musician Joe Mantera recently explained he is equally proud of his extensive instrumental collection and has endured a "lifelong affair" with the electric guitar.
