Drummers praise 'amazing' world record attempt
Posted on 30 Jul 2009 14:00 to category : Instruments News
A father and son who took part in a recent world record attempt have hailed the success of the event.

Tim Downes-Hall and his 12-year-old son Will were among those who took part in the event, alongside 580 other drummers.
Speaking to the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard, Tim described the atmosphere at the venue - the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham - as "amazing".
"There were some top drummers there," he continued.
"The noise was the equivalent of Concord taking off."
He added that a conductor ensured that all 582 players stayed in time, as the size of the hall meant there was a sound delay at the back of the room.
Famous names including Don Powell of Slade also took part in the successful world record attempt.
He recently told the Daily Mail that getting everyone to play at the same tempo was relatively easy, adding that making them stop playing their drum kits proved to be more problematic.
