Dropkick Murphys star explains love of Gibson guitars
Dropkick Murphys star James Lynch has explained he only plays Gibson guitars.
"Onstage, I have two identical 1980 Les Paul Standards and some 1981 Les Paul Customs," Lynch said.
"Also, [I own] a white Epiphone 1986 ES-175 1978 and blonde Epiphone ES-175, a 1979 Firebird and a Melody Maker from the 60s."
The guitarist explained he loves the sound of Gibsons, as well as the way they feel in his hands.
Lynch said he has always relied on Les Pauls since joining the Dropkick Murphys and can't see this changing in the future.
"They're, by far, the coolest guitars out there," he added.
The band are set to embark on a European tour next month, playing shows and festival sets in countries such as France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Holland and Spain.
Dropkick Murphys will be celebrating St Patrick's Day later this week with a series of shows around the home city of Boston, with their support acts including Against Me!
