Drake fears inexpressive generation
Drake fears his generation are "afraid to express themselves".
The Canadian rapper is worried that due to the impersonal nature of modern communication - such as through internet blog posts and mobile phone text messages - young people are not going to grow up knowing how to talk to one another.
He told website Globalgrind.com: "One thing that kills me about my generation is how everyone is afraid to express themselves because of certain people.
"It's become a very impersonal world because we all talk to each other without looking each other in the face or actually speaking on the phone so it's become very cruel. It's so easy to be cruel when you don't have say it to someone."
The 'Up All Night' hitmaker found out last week he is nominated for four Grammy awards, which he said he has been working his way toward through his entire life so far.
The 24-year-old vocalist added: "It's cliche but it's a dream come true in the literal sense, that thing you have between sleeping and waking up thinking about.
"I've been having this dream, I never knew where it was and it never really specified what the award was, but I knew it was a night I could let the people know - the people in my life know -how much they have done with me. To have four opportunities to have that chance is incredible."
