Doves and The Coral to headline Kendal Calling
Electric guitar bands are to feature heavily at this year's Kendal Calling Festival, with Doves and The Coral announced as the main headliners for the boutique festival.
This year will mark the second anniversary of the event taking place at Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District.
It is to be held on July 30th and August 1st 2010, with other bands on the bill for this year including British Sea Power, The Futureheads and OK Go.
Acoustic guitar player Badly Drawn Boy will also be playing live, as will chart-topper Calvin Harris and DJ collective Scratch Perverts.
In previous years, The Streets, Dizzee Rascal and Dirty Pretty Things have all played at the festival.
This year's headline set is part of a busy summer for Doves, who are also scheduled to play the Isle of Wight Festival and Rockness in June.
They will round off their summer with an appearance at the V Festival in Staffordshire and Essex towards the end of August.Posted on 20 Apr 2010 16:43 to category : Band / Celebrity News
