Diana Vickers' wants to replace Nadine
Diana Vickers wants to join Girls Aloud.
The 'Once' singer - who was mentored by member Cheryl Cole in 2008 series of UK TV show 'The X Factor' - is a huge fan of the girl band and would happily fill in if Nadine Coyle quits.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "It would be great to have another Girls Aloud album and maybe I could fill in if Nadine doesn't come back. That would be ace.
"I don't ring Cheryl and we aren't best friends but she passes along good luck messages to me. I got a really lovely email saying how she thought my single was a hit and how well she thought I was going to do, which I thought was very sweet."
Girls Aloud - who are also made up of Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts - are currently on a 12-month break and rumours have been rife Nadine is set to quit in order to pursue a solo career.
Nicola recently revealed Nadine had not spoken to her Girls Aloud bandmates for over six months since they supported Coldplay in London last September.
She said: "If I'm really honest, we haven't spoken to Nadine since we did the Coldplay gig at Wembley in September. I talked to the other girls about it no, none of us have heard from her. But there is no feud."
Nadine currently lives in Los Angeles and is putting the finishing touches to her debut solo LP, and has previously denied claims she is delaying a Girls Aloud reunion.Posted on 20 Apr 2010 10:00 to category : Music News
