Def Leppard star 'has hundreds of Gibson guitars'

Def Leppard lead guitarist Phil Collen has revealed that he owns "hundreds" of Gibsoninstruments.
In an interview with the musical instrument manufacturer's website, Collen explained that his first-ever guitar was a red GibsonSG 200 which he was given on his 16th birthday and still owns to this day.
The musician explained that he has added many more guitars to his collection since then, with plenty of them made by Gibson.
"My Les Pauls have a gorgeous tone and tons of sustain, and I particularly like the ones with a big chunky neck like a baseball bat," said Collen.
He explained that the qualities he generally looks out for in a guitar include a comfortable body-weight and a fast-action neck.
Earlier this year, Collen told the official Fender blog that using the company's G-Dec 3 guitar amp on stage had helped to give his band a really professional sound.
