Dedicated drum show to open in London

People who play the drum kit will be in heaven when an event devoted to the instrument opens in London next year.
The UK Drum Show will be staged at an as-yet undisclosed venue in west London in autumn 2010 and has been organised by Oyster House Publishing.
Hugo Montgomery-Swan, managing director of the publisher, told Mi Pro that details on the venue and the show itself will be unveiled before the end of the month.
However, he promised in the meantime that the UK Drum Show would be staged in a "superb" location that offers a purpose-made concert auditorium, as well as lots of exhibition space.
Mr Montgomery-Swan said the show would also include hands-on activities such as drum clinics.
This comes shortly after another large gathering of drummers in the UK.
Earlier this year, more than 580 drummers played the same beat simultaneously for five minutes - thereby creating the largest drum ensemble in history.
