Dave Grohl to play drums with new band RDGLDGRN
The Foo Fighters front man is currently in the studio in Los Angeles recording the band's debut album and the news provider revealed that Grohl may be hitting the road with the group when they tour later in the year.
NME reported that Grohl met up with RDGLDGRN when he was working on the forthcoming documentary about the history of the famous Sound City Studios in the California city.
The band have already been bowled over with Grohl's contribution stating that it was "overwhelming" to work with the legendary musician, and adding that he "knocked out half our record like some kind of machine".
This latest development follows on from Grohl's reunion with Queens of the Stone Age where he will be behind the kit for bands forthcoming album, due to be released later in 2013.
It marks the first collaboration between the two since Grohl played drums on the 2002's iconic Songs For The Deaf record.
