Dave Grohl to feature on new Queens Of The Stone Age album
Homme said on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show that Grohl will take over as drummer for the upcoming record replacing Joey Castillo who has left the band, according to the Queens Of The Stone Age singer.
Grohl has had a long connection with the band after playing drums on 2002's iconic Songs For The Deaf album, which included tracks such as No One Knows and Go With The Flow, as well as playing a number of shows including Reading and Leeds Festival in the same year of the release.
Both himself and Homme played in Them Crooked Vultures alongside Led Zeppelin bass player John Paul Jones.
Homme told Zane Lowe: “[Grohl] and I have this wonderful musical relationship which we don't have with other people. It's a very cool and comfortable position."
Queens Of The Stone Age have not released any new material since their 2007 record Era Vulgaris however, the next album is expected to be launched in the next year after the band posted pictures of them recording on their Facebook.
